2026 Session
This application is due by February 28, 2026.

The student cost of the 2026 License to Preach School is only $100.00, thanks to the generous application of $550.00 in grant funds from the BWCUMC Ministerial Education Fund. Those attending from outside the BWC will be asked to pay the full cost of $650.

Upon receipt of approved applications, a link will be provided for processing of the payment. Additional directions about the schedule, required textbooks and course requirements will be sent via email after this registration has been received.

I understand that I must attend and actively participate in all sessions and complete the required assignments of the Emory University online program, as well as the BWC Zoom or in-person meetings. See the schedule above.I understand that successful completion of License to Preach School is only one of several requirements for receiving a Local Pastor’s License, including successful completion and review of a background check, psychological testing, and interview with my District Committee on Ordained Ministry. Completion of the school is not equal to receiving a License.I understand that I must complete these three requirements, along with any other requirements dictated by my District Superintendent and/or DCOM, to be eligible to receive a license to preach.
